
Grilled Shrimp and Dill Canape

1/4 c. vegetable oil |
1 Tbsp. lemon juice |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1 lb. royal red shrimp, peeled and deveined |
1/2 c. mayonnaise |
1/4 c. red onion, chopped |
3 Tbsp. fresh dill, chopped |
2 Tbsp. deli-style mustard |
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce |
1 jalapeno pepper, chopped fine |
24 slices party bread, toasted |
Directions:
1. Combine oil, lemon juice and salt. Mix well. Baste shrimp with oil mixture. Place shrimp in well-greased, hinged wire grills, about 6-8 in. over medium coals. Cook 3-4 min.; baste with oil mixture. Turn and cook 4-5 min. longer. Remove shrimp from grill and chop fine. Set aside.
2. Combine mayonnaise, onion, dill, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, jalapeno pepper and shrimp; mix well.
3. To assemble canapes, spread equal amount of the shrimp spread on top of each bread slice.
